A LIFETIME OF MARTIAL ARTS

Kamaejutsu was not created as a departure from traditional martial arts, but grew from more than 25 years of training, teaching and exploring Japanese budō.

Over the years, one aspect continued to demand attention: the kamae. Not simply as positions to learn, but as moments within movement — each with its own structure, balance and potential.

That exploration gradually became the foundation for Kamaejutsu.

FROM STUDENT TO FOUNDER

My martial arts path began as a student and continues as one today. Along that path I became a teacher, founded Budojutsu Academy in Tuscany and eventually developed Kamaejutsu as a distinct method of practice.

Its technical roots remain connected to the Japanese budō traditions from which I learned. What changed was the way I began to use those foundations: bringing kamae together through movement and making the transitions themselves an essential part of practice.

Kamaejutsu is the result of that continuing process — not a finished destination, but a method that continues to be studied, practised and refined.

TEACHING AT BUDOJUTSU ACADEMY

Budojutsu Academy is a small, independent martial arts school in Fivizzano, Tuscany. It is deliberately personal: students train in small groups where there is room for individual attention and development.

Kamaejutsu reflects that same approach. People arrive with different bodies, experience and reasons for training. The objective is not to make everyone move identically, but to provide a structured practice through which each student can improve posture, timing, balance and flow.

Teaching is available in English, Italian and Dutch.

Walk. Learn. Repeat. Inspire.

THE PATH CONTINUES

Kamaejutsu continues to develop through practice, study and teaching. The principles remain simple: keep learning, keep moving and never mistake a level or title for the end of the path.

If the approach resonates with you, the best way to understand it is to experience it.
